The Past Week and Our Struggle against the System

- Image via Wikipedia
It has been kind of stressful in our household for the past week or so. We’ve not had any real money since last Wednesday, with the exception that my aunt gave us $20 to do laundry. We have managed to overdraw our account by more than $70 because we wrote checks for food when we didn’t have any money. In addition, 2 of those checks were returned which turned a debt of $15.00 into a debt of more than $65 after all of the fees. I’ve been working hard doing any tasks I can and sending the money into my bank account to try to pay down our debt. So far I’ve sent about $20 to our bank account. We had considered getting assistance, but every time we seek assistance they find a reason to deny us. I’ve been denied twice merely because I am a student. It is astonishing because everyone knows that students have no money. My significant other was denied because it hasn’t been enough years between when he last sought assistance.
