Usually, I don’t do the trick-or-treat thing.  I am, more often than not, invited to one lame Halloween party or another.  But is there really such a thing as a “cool” Halloween party once you’ve graduated college?  Really???  By lame, I mean that these parties are thrown by the same people who buy small Halloween costumes for dogs. Don’t get me wrong now.  Even my best friend buys a costume for her dog – heck, he has a whole wardrobe; but she usually does NOT buy a coordinated one for herself.  I think it’s bad enough when couple dress alike; it’s multiplied by 100 when it’s pets and their owners. I personally feel that the ONLY time a dog or cat, for that matter, should be a part of a Halloween duo is if he’s supposed to be Toto or some other famous dog/animal.  Otherwise, let’s leave dogs the way nature intended, with a nice, sometimes smelly fur coat.
