The best show currently on TV is The Amazing Race. In this show, teams of two race to various cities completing tasks along the way. Each task is named after a “road” aspect, such as roadblock, U-Turn and route info. Each task is identified by a route marker, which is a red and yellow flag. Tasks vary and are performed by either one or both of the team members. The tasks fit the area of the world they are in, such as riding a camel in the desert or taking a ski lift up an Alp mountain. Some tasks require manual labor, such as having to lead oxen to plow a field. One team even had to shave their heads to skip ahead and be the first one to the check-in mat. One reason why I love The Amazing Race is because of the host, Phil Keoghan. He is a Kiwi who not only has a great accent but also has a wicked sense of humor. He genuinely cares about each team, but he also calls them out on their faults. The teams themselves are an attraction. There are always plenty of underdogs to root for, pretty people to watch, and when the stress begins, plenty of drama and fights! If you have always wanted to see the world, then this is the show for you.
