Read All About It

I miss my dog “Mutombo” that I had for 14 wonderful years. He was a pit-bull/greyhound mix and had the brindle stripes. He was the gentlest dog I have ever had and not once ever snarled at me. I (and Mutombo) had lived in the Phoenix valley for the past 2 years. That Christmas a friend had gotten my dog some “dog pajamas.” I for the life of me could not figure out why I would ever put them on my “manly” dog. That January while driving through the mountains from Phoenix on my way to Flagstaff, AZ to attend Northern Arizona University, my car broke down many, many miles from the nearest town. It was 11:00 p.m. at night and it was about 5 degrees out. I didn’t want to leave Mutombo at the car, so I put him in his cute dog pajamas to help him stay warm and started walking down the road. A little while later a car stopped and gave me a ride into town. The guy couldn’t stop laughing about my big dog in his “nighty!”
