Read All About It

My favorite films have always been in the genre of horror. I started watching these types of movies growing up in the late 80s. Many people consider the 80s to be the birth of the “slasher films” like Halloween and Friday the 13th. The horror genre has a lot of variety to offer…some films being mostly about blood and gore, while others are just as suspenseful without much violence at all. My favorite horror films are the ones that leave a lasting impression on you after watching them. A few of my favorite horror films would be “The Exorcist”, “Alien”, “Session 9″, “The Descent” and many others I have seen over the last twenty years. Recently some of the best horror and thriller films have been coming out of Japan and Korea. The Asian horror films have brought a fresh new perspective on a genre often full of cliché. Most of the horror films that will be made in the next few years will be remakes of an Asian film that has been “dumbed down” for an American audience.
