I had a great time last weekend pursuing my new favorite hobby, geo-caching. For those of you who don’t know what geo-caching is, let me explain. You must visit the geo-caching website and obtain GPS coordinates, and then you enter the coordinates in your GPS. You then venture to the coordinate location to find a hidden container. Contained within the container at minimum will be a log book, and then possibly some trade items or items with tracking numbers, which may be taken from the cache. The beauty of this hobby is that is takes you to areas you have not been before, and many of the caches are hidden in areas chosen for their natural beauty. Whenever I take a trip, however large or small, I always look for a geo-cache or two to pick up along the way. The caches are hidden by local people who know all the best spots. If you love the great outdoors, geo-caching would be a great hobby for you.
