Available in numerous sizes and shapes, there is a dog to fit almost any lifestyle. Large dogs are usually preferred for people with open yards, as well as people who regularly engage in outdoor activities. Breeds such as Labrador retrievers and golden retrievers can be utilized by hunters to retrieve their hunt. They are good runners and swimmers, and enjoy any type of outdoor activity. For a family with young children, these breeds of dogs are perfect; they are friendly, active, and protective of their kin, and they can easily lure children away from video games to more outdoor activity. One consideration to have for owning a dog of this breed is their shedding qualities. They regularly shed their hair, so it is important to cover the furniture with a sheet. If traveling with the dog by car, it is wise to purchase car seat covers. Regardless of this small setback, large dogs of this breed are extremely stimulating and bring a joyous air to most any situation.

I can’t say that the past year, 2010, will stand out in my memories. Work was stable but uneventful, family life was the same blend of pleasures and irritations as it usually is, and neither huge success nor dismal failure appeared on the calendar. Perhaps my least favorite aspect was the continued dullness of my job. It’s become rather rote, without much intellectual stimulation or any particularly interesting challenges in 2010. On the other hand, I am grateful that my family experienced no major health issues during the past year, and our finances recovered from the effects of the recession, so those are my favorite blessings from 2010.

I’m an animal lover, and one of the saddest experiences for me is to see a sick or injured animal in distress. It truly pulls at my heartstrings. Fortunately, there are a number of charities devoted to rescuing animals that have fallen victim to abuse from their owners, or to accidents or disease, or to natural disasters. Typically staffed by volunteers, animal shelters and similar charitable organizations rescues these animals, nurture them back to health if at all possible, and do everything possible to either return them to the wild, or to find new adoptive homes for them. Of course, expenses are high, for food, vet care and more, so these animal charities are always in need of help. That’s why I’d give one my $1 million.

You would be hard pressed to find my car in a parking lot. It’s the same, drab gray Honda Accord that it seems that every 3rd person drives. It is unremarkable and dull, without a hint of excitement or daring style. But these aren’t the reasons for choosing a Honda. My car offers more important benefits. There is the legendary reliability , for example. I might reasonably expect to drive my car for 200,000 miles or more. And if I need to sell it, the demand is strong and constant. The ride is not turbocharged, for sure, but it is smooth and comfortable, excellent for a long road trip . The quality control is superb, with wonderful fit and finish, excellent visibility design, and plenty of power for safe, controlled driving. It’s an excellent choise as a daily ride, even if it won’t win any style contests.
