Superbowl Experience

July 31st, 2010 admin Comments off

Some jiaozi, eaten with chopsticks and dipped in a little soy sauce, is a perfect Super Bowl snack. How many other rednecks have ever told you that? Also, my Super Bowl experience was like being at the game, since we had no commercials. Crowd shots and sideline planning shots. But, unlike being at the actual game, we had no obnoxious fans, no queues at the toilets, no god awful stank, and much better camera angles. Much more recently, when the Panthers lost that playoff game to Arizona, and Delhomme had that horrendous day out there, the old underdog lover in me said, “How ’bout them Cardinals?” But now that life is back to normal…GO PANTHERS!!

Tight night with full stomach

July 27th, 2010 admin Comments off

Last night, which was supposed to be my cousin’s birthday, I had yummy food that was delicious in all sense. My favorite dishes like chicken tikka, lollipop, mutton fry and fish fry have all found there on the table. Also, the crab soup was served with chilies. The regular rice with chapatti was also given for our fulfillment of stomach. At the end of the dinner I had two cups of ice cream, which is surprisingly found to be my most favorite strawberry and chocolate ones. After this to my surprise I had fresh juices, which almost filled my stomach very tightly. Yesterday night it was really pompous in the sense of food and one more thing is added in the dinner that is a newer one is added, and that was prawn.

The Daily Grind

July 23rd, 2010 admin Comments off

I drive to the bus station and get on a bus to take me downtown to work. I read a book or play a game on my Nintendo DS while I ride the bus, and then I get off and walk the 5 blocks to work. I work my 7 hours, and take a 30 minute lunch break where I eat a salad. I walk to the bus stop and ride the bus back to the station, reading a book or playing my DS again. I then drive home from the bus station, work out, and then have dinner. My husband and I will then usually watch a sporting event if there is one on – either the Minnesota Twins or Minnesota Wild, depending on the time of year. If there isn’t a game to watch, we generally find something else to watch on TV or else play a game or something like that. Then, it’s time for bed to start it all over the next day!

I Can Never Seem To Put It Down

July 19th, 2010 admin Comments off

I don’t have a favorite book but I have a favorite author. Nicholas Sparks. In my opinion he is a genius when it comes to writing love stories. His books have also turned into great movies including, A Walk to Remember, The Notebook, Message in a Bottle, and several others. Once I pick up one of his books, I can never put it down until I have finished. I have never been one to read a book about love stories but once I read one of his, I was hooked. I didn’t know who he was until a couple of years ago when a friend of mine handed me a book called The Notebook and told me I needed to read it. They also told me that I would cry at the end. I read the book and behold, I cried at the end. That’s when I became hooked and had to continue to read more of his books. I would recommend his books to everyone. Even if you don’t like love stories, he is one to give a try.
