The best show currently on TV is The Amazing Race. In this show, teams of two race to various cities completing tasks along the way. Each task is named after a “road” aspect, such as roadblock, U-Turn and route info. Each task is identified by a route marker, which is a red and yellow flag. Tasks vary and are performed by either one or both of the team members. The tasks fit the area of the world they are in, such as riding a camel in the desert or taking a ski lift up an Alp mountain. Some tasks require manual labor, such as having to lead oxen to plow a field. One team even had to shave their heads to skip ahead and be the first one to the check-in mat. One reason why I love The Amazing Race is because of the host, Phil Keoghan. He is a Kiwi who not only has a great accent but also has a wicked sense of humor. He genuinely cares about each team, but he also calls them out on their faults. The teams themselves are an attraction. There are always plenty of underdogs to root for, pretty people to watch, and when the stress begins, plenty of drama and fights! If you have always wanted to see the world, then this is the show for you.

The day before Monday

I woke up very early today; I guess with was around 8 O clock. In fact the phone rang and this is the real reason for me waking up. I got really angry because I wanted to sleep more. I waking up early was a good thing because I could have plenty of time to finish my work for the day. After that I took a shower, ate something sweet and went to get some money from a couple of friends that wanted to buy something from me. I the afternoon I went for a walk and stopped at a local bar and drank a beer, as a prize for the work I had done. Finally I came home, I was starving so I made myself a stake and ate it with potatoes. The wine I found in my fridge was very tasty so I kind of drank the whole bottle. It was a fine 1989 Pinot Noire.

City in the Forest

I am Emily and I am residing here in the little city of Malaybalay. Malaybalay is one of the two cities located in the province of Bukidnon, Philippines. The other city which is Valencia City is called “The City That Never Sleeps”. On the other hand, Malaybalay City is called “The City in the Forest”. The reason why Malaybalay City is so called “The City in the Forest” is because of so many trees planted almost around in this area. Trees like Gemilina trees, Manguim trees, Mango trees, Marang trees and other fruit trees and specifically Pine trees grow here in Malaybalay. Pine trees are also one of the factors or one of the reasons why Malaybalay area is cold. I am not sure of why is it so. I just knew that areas with growing Pine trees have a cool breeze. There are more or less 30,000 people living in Malaybalay. These people are so friendly, industrious, thoughtful, kind, loving and warm. Try to visit all the wonderful places in Malaybalay and you’ll find out or experience wonders in this area.

Purchase your materials

If you want to make the dog bed cover from two fabrics such as fleece and cotton you can do that. Do choose washable fabrics. For the inside of the dog bed you can recycle an old bed pillow if you wish. Pre-wash the fabrics. If you omit this step dog beds might shrink the first time you wash it. Then the cover would no longer fit on the pillow. Cut the top and bottom pieces of fabric to the desired size. Leave enough for a seam allowance all the way around. Also leave a bit of room for ease. Place the fabric pieces right side together. Pin them together. Sew three sides of the dog bed with straight stitches. Trim the corners. Turn the dog bed right side out. Insert the pillow into the dog bed. Turn the raw edges to the inside. Pin the opening closed. Stitch the opening closed with the sewing machine. Be sure to backstitch on each end. If the fabric is too thick to sew with the machine you can hand sew the opening closed.
